A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters so as to receive only real messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly if you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet extremely intuitive, and it will enable you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking on it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another one with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to configure a catch-all mailbox without any difficulties even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you’ve set up using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you do not want this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
